If you can read this you have made it to the new system. We've been working on this for some time now, but I'm sure there will be problems and things not quite working right.
The picture gallery is still being imported, it will eventually be here!

We are now running xenForo software, which is a bit more up to date than the 6 year old vBulletin 3.8 software that we previously ran. Some new features you may like, some you may not!

Please reply to this with problems and general comments. Preferably constructive! Somethings have still to be added, some things have still to be programmed. Really we shouldn't have opened up the forum again so soon, but you all pressured us(well @Rosie did) :D

Please bear with us on requests and smileys and stuff, we still have a lot more work to do.

They do. Try "landyzone hippo Jatco"

However in the real world if you don't type landyzone in your search criteria it doesn't come up
Used to be the first few answers in any search regarding Green Oval problems

As a general comment - I don't like the new site. I guess it's a case of getting used to something new, but when it's free who am I to complain

Google searches don't throw up any answers from the forum any more
How come?

Never did on the old site for me. I either had to start a new thread and look at the suggestions or back to Google proper and search for something like

Range Rover reliability:landyzone.co.uk

Any time I did a Google search (main google site) when the old version of the forum was up and running, the first few answers always related to the forum.
Now for instance if I search on oil in red plug TD5. There is no refrence to Landyzone - example attached

See what you mean. Maybe the page references have changed and Google needs to refresh all its links. Have you any old bookmarks you can test?

can someone tell me how to list a topic thread in reverse order, and how to mark a whole forum read?

Both of these options existed in the old layout and are now gone.

Hold the screen upside down? I've just had an advert replace my keyboard on the screen which left me stuck. Clicked to close it and it gave me options for why, one of which was inappropriate. So maybe this site learns?!

I think it is simply a case of the old adage 'when running well, break it'
The old site was just fine. This new site is essentially unusable.

I am not sure I will bother to hang around.

lol.. i can understand people not liking some changes.. but unusable.. here's your handbag love

Exactly.

Landyzone is not indispensable.
yes, you go and find another forum that will never update ever..

public inet only came about mid 90's and has constantly evolved.. you'd think people would be more used to the process by now

Well the adverts are getting better. Fitness Singles and by gad she did look fit. The second line mentioned runners though and that definitely isn't going to happen so still some fine tuning required.
