Hello,
i've had coolant issues for a while now (18 months) and has been slowly getting worse. I've done a sniff test and pressure test and both ok, also put uv dye in with coolant to see if i could spot the leak but couldn't see anything even with uv lamp. There is also no water in oil and no fuel in oil either.
Over a 50 mile run it would use about 1 ltr of water, never over heats or had any running problems nor starting problems.
2 weeks ago i replaced the headgasket (old gasket was marked where the water was leaking across and pins were split and bent) with a new 1 from turners and steel pins + new bolts. All was running well for the first 100 miles had to top up with water once as i guess it would take a while to get all the air out of the system. Yesterday i had went for a run fairly fast for 40 miles and it managed to use the full bottle of coolant.
Any suggestions please??
Its a 90 td5 2000 with 118000 miles on it.
Oh i should add the is a little blue smoke coming from it as well, started a month ago.
