hi just got a l300 n reg
boot floor wet so stripped it out
both outter archers gone also inner arch need patches
so did drivers side to day but water leaking where rear speakers are taken
top bit off near alpine window just below there a bar rotten at rear side where water is coming from
both sun roofs have been tape up buy last owner
wheres it coming from

I had similar leaks on one of my old discos, I removed my alpine lights and re fitted with lots of tiger seal, also found leaks coming from the roof rails and sealed them up to, only trouble I had was making good the corrosion around the alpine lights.

if the sunroof's are "taped up" I'd imagine your getting a lot come in through there! do a search for solutions its been covered many-a-time!

I intend on getting rid of sun roofs and alpine lights altogether once the rear of mine is rust free to delay the tinworm reappearing...

be worth getting new seals for your windows and rear door too if they're looking a bit tired too...

Yes, we just had a couple of sunroof threads , in the last few days , have a look at them .

well i taken the trim off gutter at rear door and the little bit that go up both side r rotten fell to bits in my hand drivers side bad put small plate on then was going to full it when down came the rain again

now thats interesting as it shows fitting spacers to the front edge of the drip tray to lower it... thats a good idea as if you park facing up a hill the tray fills up as the outlets are on the front edge
