Moon side effects. Wait till a new moon before attempting higher speeds.

115mph?? Your asking for it in a 2.25t tank... 80mpg is my limit if and very rarely

I agree, lets hope the plod is on the ball; the penalty for exceeding the national limit by that much is punitive.
Up to 100mph (actual speed, which may be different to that shown on the OP's clock) can generate 6 penalty points, possible disqualification & a fine of between 75 & 125% of your weekly income, plus costs of course

Whilst I have no doubt we are feeding a troll here, as a previous owner of M51 engined vehicles I thought 115 sounded optimistic in a P38 so I hit google and it appears the claimed top speed for the diesel is 103

Not with a manual box it isn't.

A second click reveals another figure of 106 for the manual and 101 for the auto.
Either way, OP either has a very optimistic speedo or he's looking at kms.
TBH you'd probably need a wheelbarrow for your gonads if you felt comfortable going over 115 in a P38

I think the original post was tongue in cheek and referring to how well it was running but that aside I am pretty sure I was up at 110 mph one night when I had the motorway / autobahn to myself and was getting bored. That was foot to the floor though. They're really quite capable when running properly.

A pal o mine said once his car would not go above 50 up a long hill ,i pointed out it was a housing estate ,and why would he want more than 50 ,,,,,,he said he stayed at number 93 ...:D:D....
