It will all go back to as it was in a while, I've also got an AUDI which is probably affected but don't give a hoot about the emission issues, I bought it because it was what I wanted which is probably what 98.4642% of people do. Performance, build standard and style are the key factors when buying a car.
I'd be highly surprised if there aren't other (non VAG) manufacturers doing the same thing, task the engineers to meet a set of test parameters and they will do just that.

Ah. you must be one of the 8% who believed the 84.7% figure, I understand 6% believe it to be 78% while the remaining 87% of the population think it is 82
