sometimes they just need tekkin out and givin a good clean.
new one's only pennies though.

Cheers Trewey, will take it all apart some time this weekend and see how it is! Only thing that's odd is that it seemed somehow to be connected to the fact that i'd put fast wipe on (which didn't work, but is now working again in slowly mode, having fiddled with it!!)

Might have ter do that Trewey, just took the whole lot apart at both ends (dash and motor) and can't see what the prob is - dunno why they're running extra slow when you put them on fast!

At least theyre working at the mo, so it's not desperate, but it's a bit of a drag not having a "quick hit" wipe!...(so to speak)!!!

Mine wont park, and fast is slower than normal.....will be avin a poke around vis weekend......although I will be spending most of the weekend sorting out daughters jelly and Icecream party......would rather face 20 Redruth chavs than 20 toddlers

Yup, recon trewys advice to have a look/clean park switch best starting place.....just hope I get time, water in drivers footwell aswell.........BTW have found a place in Hayle what does underbody steam cleaning, was going to get it done before getting busy with the Waxoyl

Well, took the park switch off and it was clearly fooked, the middle connector had snapped.
I reckon the motor was starting to get a bit worn so someone changed the slow and fast connectors over, so "fast" comes on when you want normal speed but at the forefeit of "slow", and the motor hasn't got the power to run them at any kind of useful speed on "normal".

Just ordered a new park switch off of Rimmer Bros, are they any good (will i ever see it???)?

How much was the switch oddie?

In total it was £15. I found a non-genuine one for £9 and a bit but when postage and handling and VAT was added it came to £20, so just went fer that one. Is Rimmer reliable?

yea, Rimmers are OK. :)

ffs - when I bought one last year, it were about £1.50!
I got a brand spankin motor and linkage complete off flea-bay fer £20!

but it turned out to be for a left hand drive.

Still, I re-sold it and got more than I paid. :D

I didn't do a huge amount of shopping round but mostly the genuine ones were about £15 and non original were about a tenner, but where i looked the non orig ones were then sold by companies who charged 7 or 8 for postage.

The old one was obviously fooked, i tried to make a bit but it didn't work - the middle connector (the one which bends backwards and forwards with the little stop-button) had snapped at the point it was soldered on to the connector.

yea, their web site is crap and never up to date.
give em a ring next time.

Bollocks, drove past there on both Friday and Satdee, coulda picked one up then (except by then i hadn't taken the thing apart to see that it was kaputto!)

Trewey, remember the only weekend you was up for for some off-roading was one i couldn't do (2/3 Aug) - our plans have changed and i can do then now, are you still up for it - might be a chance to go see Mr Alford at his mud patch?

I could possibly come out ter play on 2nd Aug.
3rd is the Cornwall Game Fair at Larnson.

Is that the Lansen show? Me dad's gorra stall there this year, might get over!
