Even with a plate change the full history should be available. Mine had a change in 2009 before I bought it but still shows the full history.

The previous version of the online query did tell you about number changes but the current one doesn't.

My Disco has a slight 'crunch' on first to second. It was like that when I bought it and if you don't try to snatch a gear change it is fine. Learn how to double de-clutch and you'll have no probs. Do a search for rust issues on here and don't be afraid to poke holes in any suspect areas. If the seller objects just walk away; Swiss cheese Disco's don't cost £4500

Hi mark, thanks for the reply!

The cars from a dealer, so he doesn't know of any problems etc, and I knew more about it than he did. Gearbox job wouldn't be that much, with no labour (as I mentioned above, I'm a mechanic myself) same with the MOT really, I've already had a look at that aspect, and it would deem safe (until I stabbed a hole in the sill). Also, I had already done a MOT check, sadly only shows the most recent one (of which it failed for blowing exhaust, and slight play in front ball joints advised) it now has a full MOT till next October.
Thanks
Was it the dealer that put the MOT on it by any chance?

No was done by the previous owner just before part exchanging it with the dealer.

Gearbox doesn't crunch just stiff, a friend suggested it may be due to tractor driving (1st to 3rd all the time). He's a mechanic and experienced it before, I don't have many dealings with 4x4's at my work place.
