Hi all,
New to p38 ownership and to 4x4 ownership but when im driving along and give it full throttle there is often a vibration and noise for a few seconds any clues to cause or advice woukd be apreciated. I have a 2000 4.6 model

Could be one of many things.
However, I'd be looking at things like propshaft joints, engine/gearbox mounts, exhaust mounts, misfire on engine.
Probably going to need more info to be able to work out what's causing it.

Had a disco that did hat and it was a seized fan bearing if I remember correctly

Thanks guys the vibration feels like its below me seems to only happen if u give it full throttle or close to it to make it drop gears

Engine/gearbox mounts. Exhaust catching due to weak or broken mounts. Propshaft universal joints.
I'd be looking at those first as they're easy checked.
Just to note, my 4.0 vibrates a bit around 70mph more so under load. I think the props aren't perfectly balanced so I just drive at 60 or 80 where it's smooth as.
Bear in mind, it's an old car with much more heavy steel spinning around under it than your average saloon car so slight vibration at certain speeds I wouldn't worry too much about. If it's bad across the range then check the above.

mine does something like that around 2500 rpm. Mines got 185,000mls. Just worn gearbox and converter... Have some body in it and have a listen underneath (in neutral of course) and see if you can pinpoint it. Oh, while its running that is and get them to rev it up slowly.

I'd be checking spicers. Balancing weights and harmonic dampers all present?
