70mph+above whole rangy starts to vibrate. have fitted 4 new kumo tyres + balenced . still vibrating but not as bad any ideas anybody

What size wheels? P38's can be a bit fussy with large wheels.

Do you need spiggot rings and if so have you got them fitted on all wheels? (although I think that causes vibration at lower speeds).

What kind of vibration is it? Is it coming up through the steering wheel or the body?

hi, she,s got 18,inch l/r alloys (pretty new) also brake discs need replacing. vibration coming through body

Any idea where the wheels came from? If they're new (ie not for a P38) then you probably need spiggot rings to make them fit properly. These make sure the wheels are properly centred on the hubs which they won't be unless they are P38 wheels.

Worth checking anyway. The stupid tyre place lost one of my rings when I had new tyres fitted and that was enough to cause a severe vibration.

sorry for sounding thick but what are spiggot rings + where might i buy them from? just looked at your photo + my wheels are the same as yours , cheers

Hi you can get the spiggot rings off of e bay ,I`ve got the same wheels on my p38 though without the rings and haven`t` had any problems, but I`ve read a lot who have?. They are steel rings that go on before the wheels.

I had vibration at 55mph, bad enough to shake passenger seat, dumped the fitted pirelli scorpion str's and fitted general grabber at2's, now vib's gone, balance on the 18" hurricane's seems to be critical, work rebalancing again and tell them it must be spot on ...
