even with VANOS seals you will still need the timing kit to lock the cams and retime the VANOS units when refitted!

yep it's pretty sensitive, its really difficult to know whether its worth giving it a good rev, see what an indy thinks of the noise and take it from there

Sounds lumpy to me. My old girl was turbine smooth with 160 k on the clock. Somethings amiss......

It's had the rear silencer removed which makes it sound a bit lumpy at lower rpm but it's the same as it was before the tapping appeared.

With the cruise on and a flat road it's pretty quiet but give it some throttle and it'll wake the dead. I've never had a pedestrian step out in front of this car, it's true what they say, loud pipes save lives lol

Probably wouldn't please the purists but sounds ok, I think it would be a little loud for me as I do like the floating feeling when you drive along with no noise but i wouldn't mind a little more growl when accelerating harder.
I do drive mine like I am chauffeuring Miss Daisy though.

I thought you were Miss Daisy.:p:D:D:D

Definitely not for the purists almost to the point of ruining the car but it was like this when I bought it and haven't felt the urge to put a silencer back on it yet.

A little on the loud side, i guess it gets through the MOT ok or have you not had it that long yet?
This is quite a nice sound if you like things a little more adventurous, and i don't mean in the way tomcatAlan does

Ye MOT was fine with the exhaust. If I change the exhaust I think it'll be for a standard one but this one masks out the tapping a bit so it's staying lol.
Quicksilver exhaust fits nice and sounds just on the right side of hearing the V8 vs quiet OEM but a grand for a backbox is way down the list of things to buy for the car.
