Im guessing mine was more cos it was upgraded to 4 row.

does the auto have a built in oil cooler or a separate? or are you taling about a diesel rad?

my lt77 has a pipe cleaner oil cooler in front of the engine rad.

i looked at paddocls and their going rate seems around 200 so i dont think i got destroyed at 200 quid from bearmach, but where did you get yours from??

cheers

Yeah mine is a diesel one. I have used the air con bog brush rad for the oil cooler works a treat mounted it in front of the rad so it gets plenty of air. Had the pipes specially made up thou at £80. Got my rad from ****part

i had some rubber hoses made up for the bog brush too, feckin yeah 60 odd quid plus vat!

tbh i dont even know if my lt77 needs an oil cooler, i cant see it getting that hot. only the petrol manuals had a transmission oil cooler - must be cos of higher power/revs/engine temperature.

all i know is it cost me an extra 60 quid plus vat to mount my winch! :D

been offered two mid 90's range rovers.
first one interior not brilliant for me around 145k miles 4.6 hse had an engine 35k ago supposed to be very good long test and tax but miles away.
2nd one similar although i think model misdescribed 180k close by apparently superharged mint condition any inspection welcomed etc cpl months test had new head/heads 2-3 years ago close ish to me.

any thoughts guys? need to move forward today if i can

If you're looking at p38s, obviously the appeal is for the later car, but tbh they never really caught on:

Most unreliable of them all, engine and electrics
Expensive to repair due to rarity of spares
Difficult to modify, very few parts available competitively

We had a 2.5 dse for about 5 years, was basically a great car actually, but the engine would never tick over right when hot, viscous transfer went, rear diff went, air suspension was constant problems and never fixed.

If you're looking for a car for work, I think a late classic is a better option! Or maybe a td5 disco. The p38 just never quite got it right IMHO.

Cheers

whats he said, p38's are crap!

as i chat too much here is the short quick reply lol!
p38a are fine as long as it is maintained well and the ecu are checked for faults and fixed as the faukts arrise not left as most are and it is the 3-4 owners who buy the problems left from the previous ones

Ok I'm hoping to remember/have time to pull a plug today.

I was out laning yesterday from 2pm til 9pm, then drove home for an hour on motorway. It was up to temp all day so should never have switched to cold fuel map. It ran very well, used about 40 quid in fuel I reckon.

It's at home now where I left it last night. If I pull a plug they should be just as they were yesterday I think. Hopefully not too wet or anything...

Cheers, sam
