Stick it on a pallet in yer shed and connect the water pipes up to feed radiator and have a highly primitive and in-efficient central heating for you shed.
And use the power off the alternator to runs a few bulbs and a portable tv. Hey presto you gots a nice sports hut for winter.

Or personal gas chamber (depending on preference):D:D

Strip the Cam & cam out of it, same as a 200Tdi, flog em on ebay and weigh the rest in, quids in :D

All joking aside that is a good idea and I indend on doing a similar thing with my 2.5NA. It will also be directly coupled to a 6KW 230V alternator which I will use to boost heating in the house, it will also run a hydraulic pump for a log splitter, the cooling water will heat the garage and the alt (possibly 2) can be used to charge a 200Ah battery which will feed an inverter to run some lighting even when the engine is off.

The exhaust will be used to heat the fuel which will be anything that burns.

It will be keystart from the house with a temp/oil warning shutoff.

Might have to weld the taper shaft to the flywheel and buy the winding directory markon, they work out cheaper, but cheaper still is buy an old ****er generator 6kva dead windings, and old 6k diesel stephill, and just replace the stator and rotor, you can buy them separate, the full kit is casings and ****, if you got old windings you got all that, usually they wires burn out or a diode go, should get both of them for 200quid.
You would have to make a plate that fits over the flywheel cover so you can bolt the stator on. But I believe 6k winding run at 3000 rpm, you want winding that run 1500rpm or else your gonna have a noise generator rather that electric genny:lol:
How you gonna work the hydraulic pump?
