Does anyone near Coventry have either an EAS Kicker or the lead that goes from the vehicle communication port to a faultMate Extreme that I could borrow for 2 minutes to reset my suspension. I am in the middle of moving house and really need my Rangie at the moment....

My lead for my faultmate has broken (several wires have come away from their connections so I dont know which ones go where otherwise I would just re-solder them)

Or does anyone know the correct colour wires to pin connections???

Please Help.....

Thanks
Chris

Get yourself an OBD plug and a RS232 plug, some cable and go to Welcome to RSW Solutions and make yourself the lead...then Download the free EASUnlock software and using a USB/Serial converter (Prolific or FDTI are best should get one from Maplins) and Roberts your mothers brother.....if you're in that much of a hurry!

Thanks, I will have a look at RSW to see if I can make one until my replacement arrives, however if anyone is in the area with a kicker or faultmate lead it would be much appreciated

Is it the Faultmate lead to the OBD or the one to the laptop?
If it's the OBD which end is the problem?
If you are still stuck when I get home later today I'll take my cable apart and give you the colours:)

its the cable from the car to the faultmate, its the end that connects to the faultmate.

Thanks Datatek

Looking at the back of the plug, top row from right to left.
orange & brown; blue; pink green & gray; light grey; black; red.
Bottom row from right to left.
dark green & yellow; white to the next two pins.

Thanks very much datatek, unfortunately I seem to have a couple of different colours to you!!!!!!!!

I don't have a light gray ( I do have a very pale blue/green which I think May be that one) also I Have a purple wire....which I think is instead of the green', not at home at the moment so can't check....)

I will have to try and find my disk as rick-the-pick suggested, to check the pin outs.....although as I said I'm moving house so god only knows where it is ...
