hi guys have posted on cruise control problem a few times now. so just a up date been following the rave link on how to test it all out.so now finally gone over the test again today now all gone well apart from a small hitch.the brake test part. it says connect my volt meter between terminals black wire ground and green and purple wire. press brake pedal and should have voltage. now when i perform this test before i press brake pedal i am all ready getting battery voltage then when i press brake pedal voltage goes away. now is the rave got it the wrong way round or is there a fault with my system. see i would think my way is right because hitting the brake pedal breaks the connection which knocks cruise out of operation am i right.if so then it must now only be dry joints on the board which im in the middle of doing now.but i did buy a second hand module but still no luck. but all tests on cruise control and the vaccume test all passed so a bit stumped. this is on a discovery es 3.9v8

The Rave manual I have is for the 1996MY and as far as I know is the only one, if so the wiring colours and switch operation, make then break now, may have changed on the later D1s therefore you can only go by what u find.

just come to a stop with it now. i know there no leaks as did the pump test and it retracted the bellow in and pulled accelerator right back and held it there. its got to be the module,

The only issue I've seen in forums has been the iffy vac hose so it must be rare to have a electrical problem, but as with any electronic item it can fail.

Hi a have a disco, cruise doesn't work its a 300tdi the light comes on but it doesn't work, Now i have looked at rave and can't fine a smidge to do with test procedures any one got them ?

Road testing of cruise control is in Rave. The most common issue is a faulty vacuum-hose, the next is a faulty throttle-actuator. Or do u mean diagnostic testing which is via Testbook or similar
