lecturer has two of them, think he bought them in belgium and shipped them over as they were real cheap

####in rubbish, the steering wheels on the wrong side and the tyres are toast

yeah but for 5K id buy it.

Her indoors would kill me if i came home with one of them.

Now theres an idea.

Awesome piece of kit but the 40 mph top speed is a bit limiting, would make a terrific off road toy.

It would be a five minute toy and you'd get bored. try taking it greenlaning and you'd demolish the roof and windows on the trees.

Axle twisters would be like mole hills.

Strip it and put the axles on a 110.

Now this is a proper toy!

Come off it, the MK was a feebly 4x4d truck, The mogs are the amazing beasties

We used to borrow this from our tree surgeon mate for site runaround when we ran the Langley Farm weekends

And this was the baby of the range, being an Agri it was like the original in this thread limited to by gearing to 40mph

Because he was a tree surgeon he was allowed to run it around on Red diseasle :)

Pity the one on ebay does not have the hydraulics as the three way tipper body was extremely useful in tight spaces.

Also the PTOs, he had a huge pto driven chipper that was attached by the agri three point linkage, the only downside is that due to the power of the thing it could munch 8" trunks but it could whip them around dangerously fast while munching.

It would go everywhere the Defenders would go in just 2 wheel drive. But engage 4x4 and the diff locks and wow!

poot poot, want one. But has already been mentioned, the wife would shoot me if I even hinted at bringing one home :(

Hey Stu, maybe we could park it at the farm

Oh i'm not disputing what awesome machine they are. But for play value i think it's a different matter.

Killajoules, what happened to Langley Farm? I went a couple of times round '96 ish but I haven't seen owt since?

Could get a Mog, but for half that price you could get a Ural 375D, Ural 4320 or a Zil 131 all of which are more reliable, just as capable and would have 4 figure mileage.

For the same price you could get a Kraz 255B now there's a monster!

I've used them for towing aircraft etc. Biggest problem is lack of weight on the back end and good brakes, there have been reported occasions of people doing emergency stops and rolling it over onto the cabin (like an overcooked stoppie on a bike). We used to have two spare tyres chained down in the back to weigh it down a bit. Was also taught to reverse down steep hills when off roading to prevent roll over!! Best thing was the sound of the straight 6 :D
