Right I'm sure this has been talked about a few times so apologies if I'm covering old ground I just couldn't find a definitive answer. My P38 has 18" rims as much as I like to be able to pose on the school run my beasty does also have to work for it's fuel. It tows my girls horse errrr in it's horse box. As such we spend a fair amount of time in and out of fields. At the moment I have a mish mash of tyres fitted from different makes but I'd say they are all relatively road bias with the most rugged one being a Pirrelii Scorpion. I want to fit a more rugged rubber tyre to cope better off road but not so wild it upsets the car to much when on road. What do you guys suggest for 18" rims? Or am I better off sourcing some 16" rims to widen my choice of rubber? Are BFG's T/A series of tyres worth a pop or are General Grabbers better suited to the task?
