Very true Mr _b!P38's never had an option for steel wheels.
235/70/16 were an option as well, not sure if that was for earlier models or lesser equipped??
That's what I wanted to fit. Both cheaper and better for digging in...

Nope the very early examples were fitted with either Stratos, DKL, or the 3 spoke "Vogue" copies which were fitted to the base models.Very early ones did.

They were listed as an option on early Microcat the up to date issue does not list them.You can fit steel wheels, but they never came with them..

Hmm..No mistake. They were listed for the P38. 7 J WITH 235/70/16 tyres.
They were listed on the parts manual as an option. Not a lot more i can say about it.Hmm..
the 16' 3 spoke alloys were the only option for the base models.
According to the brochures and the Book I have here there was never a steel wheel fitment option,
