Well mine takes 255/55 R18 but all the online checks say 16" wheels!!!!!

Main problem appears to be that the searches include tyres for BMW and Porsche sizes, this means normal road tyres.

Trying to find all terrains is not easy so will be resorting to my old method of phoning a local tyre place!

Spare is poor, left front lowish, right front as new, rears tons of tread but made in 2008 and have tiny cracks in the side walls.

Seen both 105 and 109 used as load ratings.

Try putting all terrain and/or mud terrain into the search maybe.

I've got 18 inch alloys on the D2, currently running Toyo Open Country A/Ts in 255/55 R18. Do the job for me, quiet enough on tarmac, although like any tyre when it's worn, will start to let things slip (pun intended) off road. The traction control does a good job of hiding a less aggressive tyre's capabilities of road IMHO.

My D2 on 18" rims is running General grabber AT's (255/55/18)and they are good and quiet on road and pretty good off road too although side walls on two ply so have had some issue with them. Depends what you want to do.

Depending on the model of Disco 2, there are a number of wheel/tyre options available:

7J x 16 (steel wheels) will take:
215/75 R16
235/70 R16

7J x 16 (alloy wheels) take
235/70 R16

8J x 16 Alloy
255/65 R16

8J x 18 Alloy
255/55 R18
LR recommend Goodyear Wranglers but other tyres are available.
Due to the slightly odd size, there might only be a limited number of manufacturers/suppliers.

Mine's got beefy 285/55/18 Coopers that are great for going around corners fast with ACE but absolutely crap going through the rough stuff.
