Love it.;););)
Did you create your own, or did you buy it?
A K series turbo would be a huge amount of fun.
Well done. ;)

It’s a team effort. Still lots to do, it’s currently around 200bhp I’m collecting parts to go to 275/300 mark. It is seriously entertaining to drive. It reminds me of my old lancia delta integrale just somewhat more squidgy :)

Excellent. It looks very OE.

I always fancied making a KV6 turbo, unfortunately life and finances got in the way.

The next FL1 conversion I do will be electric, but that's a way off yet.

I did consider v6 manual tuned route but 1.8t is soooo much easier.

Looks tidy, look forward to the details at some point.
I followed the LRO conversion, but apart from ripping out the air con due to space considerations and bolting on a turbo with lower compression pistons it didn't tell you much!! I wrote in and asked them to cover the ecu upgrade and immobiliser compatibility, wiring loom etc but I have been ignored so cancelled my subscription!!

Have you kept the air con?
Will check out fb too.

Thanks

ac is removed
It is original engine but rebuilt with Rover 75 turbo rods/pistons etc
Rings have been gapped
Ecu is original remapped by KMaps to 200bhp which can be done by post.
Turbo is changed to old school manual bleed valve and set to 11psi as ecu can’t control the turbo. Or you can run a stand alone electronic boost controller.
fans have to be adjusted to clear turbo.

Hope that answers a few questions.

Many thanks, I have done a comparison on the engine wiring loom and the Rover one. Wondered if you could take the loom, ecu and all extra sensors / actuators from donor then solve the immobiliser connectivity from the alarm module to make it all as Rover intended??

Any benefits? Only wiring that looks different is for the air con so that is not a problem if it goes anyway.

you’d be making it seriously complicated for the sake of it and possibly run the risk of networking and dash issues
