Aww,crap. I like my neighbours. Maybe I'll have to try starting some arguments! Time to grt ready and get that Mr. Muscle out.
@Hard Drive Where did the 56 and 26 cm runs come from, is that how much you could physically feed the tubing in, or did you measure the distance to the turbo inlet and use that? I'm guessing that the 26 cm is just the extra you had sticking out the end of the EGR pipe? Did you have to do much jiggery pokery to get the tubing fed through?

Hi. The tubing already had a bend in it as it came of the roll as shown in the tools picture.
The tube went into the EGR pipe easily enough, with a slight twist to get it into the exhaust manifold. I was aware of it hitting the end of said manifold so withdrew it slightly. I did this three seperate times and the same measurement was achieved. 56 cm from the EGR pipe edge to the inside. An additional length was added for my Muscle tin and spout. The extra length can be anything that suits you best.

Do we know it doesn't harm the seals?? Time will tell.

Hi Andy. You mentioning the seal and how it might behave, persuaded me to run a test.

I placed several washers and a grommet, all made from oil-based rubber, neoprene, nylon, proper-rubber and a piece of aluminium bar, into a tray full of Mr Muscle.
Left for a day and a half, I removed the pieces and cleaned them with warm water and Fairy dish-washing detergent.
There were no apparent signs of wear or damage, or anything else that looked out of the ordinary.
The aluminium had gained a sheen, looking like it had been given a good clean, which it had by all accounts.
I recall watching a YouTube video where a chap did something similar to aluminium and likewise there was no damage done.
The tubing I used to inject the cleaner into my Turbo has also been unscathed by the chemical.

So, apart from carbon and grease, Mr Muscle seems to be a good-all-rounder.

Just remember your skin and eyeballs are made from the same stuff that caustic eats through! Take precautions. The rubber seals at work are unaffected by constant hot caustic washing, I believe we are using mostly nitrile types. When I cleaned mine, I couldn't get the caustic down the tube too well. It still seems to have a bit more pep in the lower gears. I will try the WD40 aerosol top next time, the one I used didn't quite fit the Mr. Muscle can and caused my problems.

You are so correct, Paul. Caustic is nasty stuff, although good at cleaning. I should have shown my gloves & safety-glasses in the Tools picture. I'm guilty of assuming others would know. I intend to do the same job again, in the near future. I previously had a set of injectors that were over-fueling, so carbon is a problem that needs to be addressed. Oh, I've just carried out a test since fitting a new set of injectors. 44.56 mpg. I think that's ok.
