trying to undo the egr pipe at the manifold side,got the top bolt out but struggling to get the bottom hex bolt out due to access,cut a long allen key to put on a socket but its just twisting like a barley sugar lol.I dont have access to heat so any tips ??

a good few whacks whilst trying allen key several times to ensure you dont mushroom head too much

My bottom bolt was a PITA as well, in the end I got the top one out, disconnected everything on the EGR side then bent it so I could rotate everything on the bottom bolt. Turning the bolt AND the EGR assembly together cracked it enough that it was then free to undo.

+1 on that, thats how i took mine off, SCRAP!!!

If you've rounded out the bolt then hammer in a slightly larger size Torx or Spline drive socket then remove as normal.

I did mine with a male hex head socket. Normal allen keys are too soft and will bend/round off.
