Got a bit done in the odd lunch break. Started with nearside.

Few small holes and inner A pillar needs attention. All could be so much worse. I do need to do some welding up on the bulkhead which I can now do from engine side although more wiring has to come out!

You must be out with pheasants then;)
Been out beating most weekends although my young one seems to think she can pick up from the beating line too 😂🤦‍♂️ lots of training to do over summer and during crop protection. Got a bit of clay shooting in here and there too which is good. Most fun I’ve had though has been with my new single shot 410! That’ll humble anyone 😂

Weather is pretty crappy.
I’m going to get one of these machine mart green shed/garage things. Would be useful to be able to go out and do a couple hours when I want and not worry about weather. I haven’t lost the want which is good. It’s just time. The season, a lot of work and babies take a lot 😂

It's always nice if you can get out of the weather.

I will be fitting a new box on her. This will come with the torque converter. I’ve no idea how this is set up!! Have any of you above gents done it? @Hicap phill you must know how to do this? Won’t be for a while as engine still in bits and no rush when I’m doing body first but I’m curious if I’ll be able to do it with a mate at home

Not done anything with auto boxes…sorry…

My new ‘instant garage’ is on back order but should be sent out tomorrow. I’ve been airing the disco but still getting a bit of damp in there around headlining. I may take back out at some point as I only did the rear sun roof anyway.

I’ve started chopping. I need to get wing off to beaten up before welding. The sandwiched layers were a bit poorly on a pillar. It’s from the genius windscreen corner fold bit. I had to cut through the strengthening plate/captive nut plate.

I think it will be very tricky to rejoin the 2mm plate. What I’m thinking is leave it cut in two and just spot weld it to the pillar again. I’ll get in with dremel to get as close to that horizontal dash bar as possible and weld along that seam.
