Hi all,

Does anyone know or used a good garage in the black country/north b'ham area? Want to get coolant and oil change on our Freelander 1, don't really trust the kwik fits etc.. After past experience, which I won't rant about here!

Thanks!

Could you not attempt the job yourself? Its easy enough unless its the 1.8 nobody in their right mind would touch it

C'mon Nath....You being a previous P38 owner should be able to handle a Hippo with ease ¬!!! :hysterically_laughi

There's always Jameson 4X4 in Summer Lane, Birmingham (The Snow Hill end by Loveday Street).
Although they mainly do Rangies and Disco's, I am sure they would be able to sort you out. They also have the latest Test Book by the way.
Like myself, it looks like you have downsized !!

Ultimate Landrover are very good there based in Netherton, ive used them several times for my range's and Freebie

It is the 1.8! Why, is it more difficult to do? I have changed coolant in previous cars..

There is a bit of an art to bleeding the 1.8K but it can be done with practice. The key is to keep burping the system once you initially filled and bled it.

Is easy - not sure what the other bloke is talking about. As Will says, you just need to crack the bleed screw off a couple of times after initial bleed - otherwise same as any other car.

This guy is really good on knowledge and price, as he's independant, most honest garage owner i know and he'll fit your own parts (minus any warranty of course) if you have any used parts or pattern parts need fitting etc.

I use Ian Clifford, he's just off the Stourbridge Road...One man band but excellent knowledge and very reasonable and honest 07515930478
