The problem with your wipers is likely to be the park switch has failed. They are available seperately for about £10

the rear door is a little spring gone.. there was a thread about it recently .. mine does the same.. cure is an expensive bit of twisted metal off ebay.. but can't remember any more than that cos I decided to put up with it for now..

the expensive spring is only £5 and there was an article in the march 2009 LRO mag showing you how to do it if that helps , did my boot door spring couple of weeks ago and would advise you take couple of pics first so you can see where everything attaches to when you come toput it back together , takes about 45 mins for boot

thanks for everyones help reguarding the wiper stop switch my 4x4 centre said they are not available only the complete moter for around £200 so where can i get one and where do i find the switch on my vehicle many thanks

Hi
Have just had the same problem withmy disco - perhaps it is catching like the flu. My wipers move slowly to the centre and stop. I will look at it at the weekend - any news on how to get the park switch? PWP

the park switch on the disco is part of the motor, oposed to the defender which is attached to the motor.
does your intermittent wipers work??

intermitent wipers work but do exactly the same thing - park themselves slowly in the middle. I assume that it all doesn't want a good greasing. PWP
