No need to chase as if caught you will be fined on the spot and escorted to a cash machine if need be.:(

I can also recover a breakdown as a last resort for the cost of diesel and trailer hire and I have outside space to temporarily leave a vehicle if needed.

All good to know - especially the mechanical side of things, even though we were in Normandy, which is a bit of a trek from the Poitiers area, last week ;)

In the event, the Peage tag seemed to work as intended, and we suffered no issues for the other two using coinage (even if I beat them through the toll sites each time!) :p
 
Anyone travelling to France in the next few days, be aware that the farmers are blockading some refineries so there could be fuel shortages in the offing.
