I am back here for some education and juicing up my knowledge about my P38. :rolleyes:

It is dripping a few drops from the trans drain plug. I find it odd, as it didn't drip for 2 days after i re'newed my trans oil and filter + changed the sump gasket. Neither after my test runs

However, it looks like the leak comes directly from the drain plug. Now comes the real, real questions.

is it a no no for MOT/EU Controll?
I also got a minor oil leak from rocker cover, but i've got that gasket in the garage. My car is due engine oil change in less than 100km (i change every 10k) so i planned to take the rocker cover before i change the oil, just incase any debris or so..

So im wondering, whats the correct drain plug for my gearbox sump? Note, i have the dipstick sump, with no fillpug.
And, what washer for my engine drain plug? I somehow got that wrong last change, so didn't re'new the washer. re-used it..

Something real off-topic here: I am questioning my self if i want a Electric grease gun (milwaukee m12 GG), just to make me more eager to grease the u joints... Is it worth it? Or is the electric grease gun to superior for u-joints? I don't have a problem with the manual grease gun, other than its a hasle to pump sometimes, as the nozzle falls off...

Depends how fussy the tester is. I power wash the engine and underside to remove all traces of oil before the CT/MOT
Have you tried nipping up the drain plug?
The washer on mine was copper last time I did the oil change.

i will try to nip it up.
I changed my brake fluid for 2 days ago. Apparently i didn't tightn the rear left bleed valve enough so it sure enough dripped out some.... Brakes works good now, but they still hang, i've had that issue for a while now. Brake pedal no longer spongy atleast
 
well in Scotland, If its not dripping a puddle on the floor during the mot or on the examiners head ,its a pass i use a rag to catch any drips :rolleyes:, discretely tucked in yous understand:oops: ..
 
Grease gun you don’t need a big or fancy one, small is what you need. Not much grease actually goes in there awkward bit is access. If you can hold&pump the electric unit with one hand would be useful as nipple access isn’t great. We tend to shave the end of the connector down slightly on two sides for this.

yeah i have shaved two sides on. Its quite stiff at the end, i reckon 10 cm is 0% bendable...
The electric one you can hold and pump with one hand yes. That's why im interested in it. And a guy said to me to grease them up each 5000KM, thats not much, so i'll be under there almost 4 times a year.
I'll see what i do. The MOT is on friday, hopefully i wont get any surprises. Don't know if they will go mad about my hanging brakes, their not thaaaaat bad anyhow.

If it goes trough MOT with nothing severe i'll invest a **** ton into it :rolleyes: I have afterall changed every single fluid in the thing, just not gotten to the transfer box yet.
