Personally I don't think it would change anything at all geometry wise!
The only benefit I can see would be a tiny bit of ground clearance.
The only thing would be caster like you say, but that can be sorted in a few different ways.
You may have to modify your bulkhead outriggers and your bumpstops would need relocating but I can't see why it can't be done.
The only problem I can see (with no knowledge of suspension geometry) is that you are more likely to damage the propshaft because it will be lower than the radius arms.
The arms sit outside the chassis rails so wont need any modifying.

I was thinking that the top of the radius arm may hit the underside of the bulkhead outrigger on full bump travel. Can't remember how much clearance there is as standard but it would be easy enough to modify the outrigger if required.
Either way it would definitely be worth a shot, please have a go 200tdiayre!
