ive just ordered another towing A frame.
Bought a discovery on ebay that doesnt run (genius idea!) and if I cant fix it at the roadside I will have the mrs in the disco and will tow it with the defender. She is then being "recovered". Its only a few miles away from my house and although a straight bar would do the job, the thought of my mrs being in a car just a few feet behind me scares the crap out of me. At least with the A frame she has no control

My mate tows a stupid Smart car on an A frame behind his motorhome, the braking is done by an electronic gizmo that attaches to the brake pedal of the Smart, I don't know where the other end goes in the Motorhome though.
I understood A frames were outlawed by the EU some time ago except for short distance recovery.
