The reason I am so fond of the Hamster is that a) his enthusiasm is entirely
genuine, and b) he manages to entertain without being arrogant or pulling
anyone else down, which is a rarity these days. He seems (and there's a few
people who've met him posting around the web these days to confirm it) to be
a genuinely nice guy, and hooray for that.

TG is one of the very few programmes I actually turn the TV on for. I
couldn't give a toss about the Porsches and Ferraris - the banter and the
outrageous stunts have me in stitches every time.

I would really miss him if he didn't make it back to his job.

100% for me too, utter nutters that just love the stuff they do. Infectious stuff really, even Jane loves
it & my 6 year old daughter watches the repeats!

Some of the funniest & best staged bits of fun the TV has seen that i can recall really.

Anyway, he'll be fine by the sound of it & he'll live to carry on etc.

I hope to have tickets to top gear sometime in 2008 ffs!

indeed he is, and he's about the same height as me, maybe even a bit
smaller, so he is a midget!
