Hi all,

was pricing a +2 inch lift kit and i was wondering if i could do it myself or if i would need help, also if i raised it would i need to get replacement radius arms and trailing arms, brake hoses?

cheers Robert

I'm going for hoses, springs, shocks n stops. Its only a weekend play thing, i just get annoyed at bottoming the chassis out,it has a couple of mini dents and dont want any more bigger ones either. I have bigger tyres by about an inch and abit (cant remember what they are now-bf at's anyway). I am doing my lift to do jst that, raise the chassis, not bothed about increasing articulation or increaseing wear as ts just a toy. its 23 years old and 90% original so things are worn or on there way out - and they will just be replaced.

its a project so will finnish it all in time.

Yes lifting it would lift your tow pack up. But then it will make towing awkward. I think you might be best of getting a detatchable tow bar so then you can remove it when going off roading and fit it for towing. This will be a better option than lifting. If land rover thought it would perform best with a 2inch lift then it would have one. At the end of the day its up to you but have a look to see if there are other alternatives available.

but there are plenty with 2 inch lift with no problems each to their own,if you dont like your lift you can allways put it back ,ive seen plenty with lift and still lot of slack in brake hoses , the worse thing you can do is put car seats in,small steering wheel

I dont get it, when you put a diffrent seat in an your not centered to the wheel!?

Don't matter about a lift kit as yer diffs are the lowest point;)

nowt wrong wi' different seats in yer landy, never had a prob wi' mine and sit just off centre... but sooooo comfy and a wee bit more elbow room;):D
