I looked at many options and went for Superchip, it did cost me £435 though 10 yrs ago. No problems but mines a manual

Just as a matter of interest what grade EP did you put in that caused this difference in performance, and what grade did you change it to?

Novel idea for a manufacturer, just produce one car model 500 BHP 200 MPH. But restrict it's performance for younger drivers by using thicker diff oil.

There's a guy near Heathrow that will put a new chip in for a very reasonable price. He's a BMW specialist and seems to know the M51 inside out.
