I had 16s but went up to 18s really fill the wheel arches nicely. My 16s made it look like a beach buggy!

I have news for you, if you fitted the correct tyres the wheels are exactly the same overall diameter as the 16s. 255/65/16, 255/55/18, 255/50/19 and 255/45/20 are all the same. They will all fill the wheel arch equally.

Yes, we know but the larger rim plays an optical trick, you can go too far though, 20's look wrong, 22's are hideous, :)

Yes they do, My lad gave me some 19s with good tyres off his L322 Vogue. As my two front 16s were getting ready for replacement i fitted the 19s for £70.00 worth of nuts. Instead of £200.00 plus for new boots. They look aesthetically a lot more balanced. :):)

Thanks, I stand corrected. I think the tyres on my 16s where totally wrong hence the raised Beach Buggy comment

I've got 19's on now. And am happy with them. But have seen theese 20's on another p38 and they look ok. Def wouldn't go any bigger though.

The set ive seen have 255's on so should be ok. not sure if im getting them or not yet anyway.

with regards to ride the 19s run better than the 18s did on my previous p38

Ive drove with 16's and 19's I prefer the 19's they look better than a 16 but the 16's gave the car a magic carpet feeling compared to the 19's which still give that feeling to a degree but not as pronounced.......
