Getting round to changing the timing belt. I am pondering which route to go. A Genuine LR belt £42 or a Dayco £9.80. Seems quiet a lot more for the original. is it worth the difference?

dayco are good quality used them for years in the motor trade with zero failures or come backs ,gatso

The britpart belt kit comes with dayco belt and all the tensioners and pulleys you will need, used a couple of their kits as has my mate with no problems so far

I stuck with genuine personally because it's a lot to risk for the sake of a few quid. Not to say the Dayco one's aren't any good but I'd rather error on the side of caution.

If I recall correctly, Land Rover use Dayco belts. So quite frankly, a genuine belt is a re-badged Dayco.

Nothing wrong with dayco ,i believe peugeot citroen use them and as they make engines for landrover aswell as ford and possibly others im sure a dayco belt will give you no problems
