landy 300tdi started making I funny ticking noise half way to shops. at shops a notice a fuel leak on the return pipe. when heading home it still ticked then at a roundabout when i lifted off the go pedal it and cut out. like there was air in the system or out of fuel. it started after lot of trying. did this all way home. when home removed the fan belt and started it and ticking noise came from left side around the fuel pump. ive ordered a lift pump. do you think it will work any help please?
