If you only had one tire fitted ,it can upset the front and rear rotations ,and side to side ,,,but a big enough difference,can (hate to bang on ) upset the viscous coupling and it starts with a drumming ,as front and rear are rotating at different speed s:(..;)
 
Could be a bad tyre. The wheel also could be warped although you would feel that in the steering wheel or your seat.
Propshaft support and support bearing maybe?
