HI GUYS I NEED A FEW IDEAS ON HOW TO STOP MY WINCH BUMPER FROM BEING STOLEN AS THERE IS ONLY X4 BOLTS I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE A PEICE OF **** TO ROB. I NEED SOME IDEAS TO STOP MINE AND HELP OTHER PEOPLE STOP THERES GETTING STOLEN HANKS GUYS MUCH APPRECIATED :)

How often do you really need to remove a winch bumper? Bolt it and do a little spot weld on a couple of the nuts, grind em off if you ever need to remove it.

Or there are these less permanent solution but easier to remove.

Won't they just nick the vehicle rather than fart about trying to get it off on your drive? Seems a non issue

You live in Liverpool, they would steal anything.

If I were you I would pop something over the nuts/bolt heads such as car filler or something... It means you cant get a spanner on them but you could clean it off over time. I pop a drop of hot glue in the door hinge bolts for the same reason, it just means someone cant come along with a Phillips Screwdriver or Allen Key and whip them off.

Shear nuts and threadlock, or a few wee tacks with a welder

I remember years ago welding the bumper bolts on jag xj40's, they were nicked all the time

Worked well then, might not be so good today, due to battery grinders

All you can do is make it hard for them, or at least awkward, at the end of the day, if they really want it, they could cut the front chassis legs of and undo your bolts at home
