I'm now loving using my Disco. It drives nice, starts first turn of the key, brakes are brill and I am now so used to the auto box that I am convinced its the better option over a manual.

Trouble is, now I've flushed the cooling system, changed the head gasket, replaced the front discs and calipers, given her a full and thorough service and sync'd a spare key I don't have anything to do.
When I had my 110 I was constantly tinkering and fixing things and of course chasing the rust away but the disco has none of these issues.

I have one possible activity to look forward to, 2" spring lift kit and maybe a full set of braided hoses, but when that's done, that's it other than an occasional waxoyling.

Can you get sufficient satisfaction from driving alone?

Nip over to the range rover section and ask how satisfied they are having to 'tinker' with their p38`s:p
Enjoy it while it lasts :D

NO but don't worry the lull won't last and this will all be a very distant memory ! ;-)

There are some very negative people on this LZ site.
Maybe they are the few who have problems with their LRs and we simply dont hear from the majority who have no issues.
Come on surely if you do the jobs right we can expect a strong and reliable vehicle in return!
I'll be honest I dont want to be fixing the thing every week and so far Im well pleased with it and hoping I can get many miles of pleasure before doing any major refurbishment work again.
I want to be able to rely on it.

Arent you a lucky boy, can I send a disco for you to tinker with you might as well keep your hand in lol

Edit...…….

Do you want a D1 or D2 :D
