There are times in life, when someone has had what they describe as 'the scariest moment of (their) life' (post 3), when it's better to not raise apprehension any more. To raise a concern is reasonable, and Jo acknowledged that concern, but insisting that 5h1t will happen in time is taking it too far IMHO. There are times in life when to press a point, and times when to STFU. I believe this was one of the latter. Your view may differ, but we are all entitled to our views (for the time being at least )

What a lucky escape! Were the horses OK? Hope you get a new Disco. I see its a 510 HB. These tyres should be run at 45psi. If a trailer lies around unused for weeks they can lose pressure. Also if they are old n perished they are at risk of blow out. There's a code on the side of a tyre that tells you the year its made; worth checking trailer users. I found out I had BF Goodrich Trac Edge tyres on my Landy that were 20 years old! Thye are now replaced.

I reckon Thor has trouble leading animals into trailers or small rooms because they know they're going to get sore bottoms.

I check mine every week, cattle float tyres I have run 68 psi all round. But I usually tow every week, many get left standing for months, as you say.
All Ifors, including horse boxes, have an owners manual that covers tyre pressures and brake adjustment in detail. Sadly they don't always get passed on when trailers get sold.
Never had a horse box, but the cattle floats come with different tyre options, which inflate to very different pressures.
And it is very common for people not to increase the pressure in the tow vehicle rears before towing!

On this occasion I think Thor is right. I am experienced with loading animals, and I would not expect to get cattle back in a trailer easily if they had been in that overturn.
In fact, I would be very pleased if they survived. Many haltered animals have had their necks broken in overturns.
