I don't really have time to use my defender, it's done about 4k I think in the 3 years,

I've bin looking at some discovery 3's so the wife can use it everyday and I can tow with it, or a l322

Mines a 94 300tdi hard, lots and lots of Orr road goodies, suspention, roll cage, front and rear winches, arb locking diffs from and rear, ashcroft shafts and cv's ect.

Has anyone made a similar move and what did they think after? Was it good bad?

went from a 97 csw 90 to a 5dr 96 xs 90,

Prefer driving the 90, but the d1 is better for the miles I do now (currently on track to do 1000miles a month)

I think I just want something different I think, I look at my fender and think what a waste it just sat there,

L322 will empty your wallet PDQ if you are just a little unlucky, P38 diesel is better IMO
D3 is supposedly a body off job for some repairs I think but would be my choice over an L322 if I had the dosh.

D3 wins over L322 but other makes are available.. ;)

Yes but I want a landrover, mates have other thinks q7 x5 vw ect and I prefer the disco, I borrowed a disco 4 the other day and it's was very nice I know it's not a 3 but still

Just bought a discovery 3 and selling my 200tdi 110, at least I now have a heater on the way to work, it's great

Haha, my heaters are prity good for a fender, just want something more everyday, thinking of breaking my 90 as its easyer to sell bits that the whole thing together I think,

I don't often use my winch anymore normally a kinetic rope n one good tug and its out.

I want to have a good look at disco 3's befor I part with my 90. And you can fit a winch on a d3 :d

I had a D3 - took it to and around Morocco - performed perfectly and loved it - great bit of kit and would have a d4 in a heart beat. Very comfy, perform well, lots of accessories avaialble, air suspension delivers an impressive ride.
You won't regret it!

Only changed as i needed 5 seats and my D3 was a commercial.
