First landy, a 110, a 92 think it was a 200tdi no idea what version?

Now it's a csw, from what I've found out it's got

3.5slt perkins/mazda engine
Zf autobox
Galvy chassis
Puma bulkhead and dash
Puma front and rear doors
X-xng hand brake
Winch and bumper
Fuel fired heater thing
Fibre glass headlining
Half a shed of spares!

I think most of that is good?

Bonnets fooked, B/C pillars and sills are knackered, 2nd row doors scrap and the tub is too, none of the gauges work except the speedo:D

But, I'm game for a laugh, canny be any rustier than a transit!

I have a few buddies the Lothians, mostly hot rod related, There not to happy im dipping a toe into Land rovers LOL.. I cant see the difference, old ladder chassis, solid axles, wheezy old engines, crash boxes, loads of scope for modification and lots of rust .. seems like a natural progression :)

Well, got a wee bit more done, heard red ones go faster:p,
And got caught out when the alternators not charging, had to push that sucker back into the workshop after painting!

Wow, that's great progress.

Re' alternator, they're easy to fault find...it's normally 1. messed about with wiring by PO's, 2. voltage regulator and/or connectors, 3. if really knackered, the windings. For peace of mind renew the wiring, then if still not charging buy a new unit...they're not expensive.

Cheers,
Tbh, I'm not really fussed by the alt the now, not sure if I'm even keeping the engine that's in it or maybe going td5 or 300?

I picked up a puma chassis wiring loom and roof loom, so that should sort the body electric, after that it's just the instruments and engine electrics.

so a wee update, floors are in, fitted a transit alt with the vac pump on the rear, all seems to be working as it should.

after speaking to a guy regarding the puma gauges, ive gone and ordered the system controller to run the gauges and other systems, it converts the old type electrical inputs to can. you can get one just for the gauges or the one i went for does the gauges, A/C, cooling fan and glow plug relay as well.

other than that, im just collecting parts for the christmas holidays, when i might actually get some time to do some work to it!

Got a bit side tracked from the important jobs today and messed about making some hatch doors, one side will be a locker, and the other just a big hatch for those rainy day when your sitting in the back:)
