Been getting around to the little jobs that the weather, untill the last few weeks, decided I shouldn't do yet. I've been replacing the dull yellow interior lights with LED's and the difference is incredible. Done the main interior one, just waiting for the wedge led's to arrive for the map lights. Done the drivers footwell light and while that was off thought I'd investigate the cruise control.
Found the inverter/vent switch with the connector and vac pipe. The whole thing wobbled so took it out and one of the plastic tabs was missing so ordered a new one. Eventually found the other end, in the engine bay and it was just flapping around!!
Well and truly worn. Fed the new pipe in, across the bulkhead and to the vac pump.
Once the new switch arrives I'll put it together (new cable arrived today so I'll put that in when the weather permits.
One quick question if I may reguarding the rear passenger map and courtsey light units. How on earth do you get them out? Recently had a new headlining put in and they're proving somewhat resistant. I can get one end down but the other end doesn't budge.
thanks all, happy p38'ing
