I know that feeling. When everything was back from the paint shop and I was fixing bits to the bulkhead and realised they had sold me the wrong one. I did feel physically sick.OH YES!
Gatso was with me at the time and i bet he will tell you I went green, felt sick and really p***** off !

More money, time and effort for you there, but at the end of the day at least you'll know you have a sound gearbox when you've finished. (I'm trying to look on the positive side for you)
Funny you should say that , just install a huged blacksmiths vice on my workbench which I had knocking around in the garden for ages, only been used twice in about twenty years and its been in the past few weeks , each time for a Landrover jobDon't think anyone's mentioned this but you'll need a bloody good vice... then again, we all have one of those or you wouldn't have asked the question in the first place!
