Hi guys , I have just popped out of my garage at my house in the garden , only to find 2 men trying to steal my Landie, I approached them and they bolted into a very dark VW Passat REG = KP57NZG. I own a 300tdi Defender 1994, Police are involved, but for security I have resolved myself to removing the landies wheels, to try to prevent these unfortunate minded folk.. Just a heads up and please be aware,, the reg of offenders vehicle has been confirmed by the police... I live in the South side of Glasgow

I don't use mine often, so as it's parked up a lot I usually drive it onto ramps, front end, rear end, sides, wherever, to give the impression that it's perpetually breaking down. I often also lift the bonnet up at weekends and a door wide open so I can get between them quickly .. er .. pretend I'm actually working on it ...

I like to think it deters thieves who might see it in the afternoon and think it's just not worth the hassle ... ;)

Hi guys, I will be fitting a disklok asap, any other ideas on security would be appreciated. Some of you may have read my post on draining battery, which results in me having to remove the or my battery is flat in the mornin, if I didnt do that they would have stole it, so I am kind of lucky in a way. Also the Police have caught them...RATS.

South side eh. Good to see Scotland's finest got a result. See you have a nice defender. Fuses are the more subtle solution. Maybe something really obvious like a steering wheel lock.
