Yes finally after 3 months of waiting I took delivery of my Freelander, Yipee
Just been shipped to Malta, everything done through internet, seen it advertised asked my brother to go view it and transfered him the cash.
Had a bit of a nightmare with the customs side of it down here, but thats another story. I have it, yes, yes, yes.
First things, I am very pleasantly surprised by the handling, thought it would roll, but not much of that. Very comfortable to drive and plenty of vision, loads of gadgets and storage holes. The steering lock is not as good as I would have liked, it makes it quite hard to get into my garage, unlike my previous Grand Cherokee.
Bad point, sounds like the nearside rear bearing has gone, getting a droning noise while driving, pulled on the wheel and there is a bit of play so assuming it is the bearing. How hard is it to replace please?
Gave her a good wash and wax when I got her home on Friday, saturday was spent fitting the new sound system and complete valet of the inside, she looks like brand new now. Will post some pics later, my first Landie and I am very impressed. Also, had the thermostat mod done in UK before being shipped down here so I hope everything goes ok, will keep ya posted. No doubt I will be asking advice off all you peeps in the future. Bye for now
