Ooh rolls royce...
It's a beautiful car. That it if it's not too big a money pit??
Is it a runner @Henry_b?

My grandfather bought her in 2003.

she has done around 800mi since then and has been sorne'd since 2010.

It was badly restored by the previous owners and at this moment in time, has no interior the wings and rear quarters are full of filler and rot..

The engine is the original 77k unit and it does sound quite nice..

Also it had a new gearbox which has around 70mi on it!!

Overall to get it to a presentable condition I would be looking at upwards of 15k!

I've contacted specialists like flying spares for advice and they recommend i break it for parts..

So yeah..

She might get done but there is more rot than metal..

Oh and look at the breakfast that I am forced to eat.View attachment 156228

That is a beautiful example!!

Is she an autobiography?

Don't reckon those shiny wing-mirrors will last long down there. Not when you get to the fuggly bits.

I had one, needed to tow a fuel tanker behind it on long runs. Very quiet but steering wise a bit like driving a truck.

my granfather use to keep a petrol journal that records every fill up and MPG etc etc

The average was 9mpg :eek::eek::eek::D

That was around town but still hilariously bad.:D

I have always kept a fuel log, used be required for the tax man and I have never lost the habit. It has proved useful from time to time when it has flagged up a sudden increase in fuel consumption that might have gone unnoticed.
The long term average on my P38 is 24mpg, on the Rolls, I could get it up to 12 on a run, it wasn't and old car either:eek::eek::eek:

Being a 6.75 v8 i'm guessing low MPG is the norm lol :D

We're talking about the car dude, not the other half.....oh wait....:D:D:D

'apen i ain't found another half yet.. ;)

Mind you the Range Rover would probably keep me occupied for quite a while.

So a woman won't be necessary for quite a while..;)

And the women around hereford aren't the kind ya want to mingle with :D:p

Hi Henry,
Thanks for your comment and yes it is a autobiography, she is my pride and joy and has never let me down in the five years of ownership, I have spent a lot of time, effort, tears, and money on her but it's all worthwhile when she turns a lot of heads especially now with the V8 Burble from the new exhaust, I do get a lot of good comments about it's condition and that's a nice feeling.

So you should get good comments she is a stunner!
Do you have any interior pics?

Guess it depends on whether you like beards. Natural selection, I guess: after a tour in the middle-east even a Hereford girl looks good.

I like my women from Eastern Europe!

he he he

not really a fan of women with beards!! ;)

As long as it doesn't bite.

Reminds me of an old Bernard Manning joke: a young lady goes to see her doctor to get her test results ...

[Doctor]: "I am sorry to tell you, you've got thrush"
[Woman]: "oh, er. I must have caught it off a toilet seat."
[Doctor]: "well you must have been chewing it then."

Ba-dum-tish.

One of my favourite alloy wheel designs they've ever done those - not sure what they called them on the L322
Hi, yes they are a nice wheel and set the car of just right, I had been looking around on the bay for a set of 19s and came across this set, they were actually brand new and had never been fitted to a vehicle, they were also shod with tyres so I put a cheeky bid in of £120 and 2 days later the seller accepted my offer and he also delivered them from London to Oxfordshire for nothing. I should have bought a lottery ticket that day.
