Been my technique on the bikes for years!Don't clean the oily bits, stops it rusting
Sounds like desperationBeen my technique on the bikes for years!
Got pulled over by plod one time on my GT550, he spent a few minutes checking it over, everything worked as it should. Docs in order, etc. He said "I suppose I can't give you a ticket for it being dirty" and left.
Would account for only about 25K in first 5 years, and remarkably low corrosion, bar the usual upper tailgate. Some surface but not deep, looking to get a thorough steam / protect treatment done at some point soon, although that looks like a minefield judging by these forums!
We were only thinking of that for the main areas of underbody protection, but thanks for the advice. Would never plan to steam an engine bay, especially with so much electrickery kit around it. Worst at the front looks to be just under the battery, possibly a bit of damage from spilt electrolyte at some time. But looks still to be deep and solid enough to wire bush, rust treat, and paint normally. Not so critical on colour there either!Never steam the engine, especially near injector #4. A member put water near #4 before and paid the price.
Just my local auctions mate, they clear police cars alsoWhere did you get it from the police pound
Did someone play around with the trim tag before you got itJust my local auctions mate, they clear police cars also
