The P38 I'm restoring is much scruffier than the red one:(
Panels and doors can still be sourced cheaply enough on the bay of E (In UK atleast). Straight swaps are well within range for the mechanically minded. My rear door is crumpled in and the handle plays up. I have seen a whole door for £40, cheaper than fixing the handle and no expensive bodywork repairs or spraying

P38 panels you just bolt a straight one same colour in place. Plenty of decent later models with good paintwork , mechanically shot still about. Just type your colour code in on parts search

I have a complete spare P38. Pieces from breakers are almost impossible to obtain in France and getting stuff on Ebay and having it shipped to France is a chancy business. I was recently ripped off by an Ebay trader over a pair of front seats.

Still shines up well for an old paintjob..

Thanks Henry. The Cayenne is dirty as anything.. just a couple more jobs to do on the L322.. expansion tank t stat and some paint chips then I can crack on with the P38. Now it's getting warmer

Yep temps are rising, thank god!! :D

Bet the 4.2 s/c is a hoot to drive, they certainly sound nice ;) :D

Can't wait to see your P38 progress!

It's the front cover needs doing. I've had the P38 nearly 10 years. And it's still strong as an ox, that drips water.

Yes its been a diamond. really has.. everything works from heated seats to sat nav. I've been through it with Arnott Gen 2 head gaskets heater matrix. I really don't want to sell it

Aye don't get rid..

Stick with what works!!

P38 prices are also going up so its worth holding onto it.

Hopefully you have the same luck with the l322! ;)

Yes I saw a couple of years back a P38 with an MOT could be got for 1200-1500 I've seen sorted ones up for 8k !

With viable resto classics gone now the P38 has been the next to pop.

It really owes me nothing now.. in fact I owe it. going to get the leather cleaned some paint touch ins done and it can join the collection next to the Suffix A and the CSK which I intend to get back underway this year

A sorted V8 Vogue will sell from 5-15k!!:D which is odd considering they were rather cheap a few years ago as you say.. :D

I think 2018 was the start of the boom for the P38 and it will continue as good ones are hard to come by..:D

And i was gonna say, Adam when ya starting on the classics!! :p

Luckily you answered before i asked!!:D

Can't wait to see the progress on all the cars..
