HenryB, I look forward to some images after you have actually collected it, in your possession so to speak - minus the dealer paper floormat and after you have had a chance to put your own stamp on it, even just the inevitable initial detailing to make it look it's best. I am sure it will be very photogenic once in your ownership. ☺

Right that’s the bonnet letters removed , time to get the glue off

Also gave the inside trim and bumpers etc a clean , couldn’t believe how much dirt came off the inside panels, used some meguiars black restorer

Yeah I figured that hence my comments, I'm the same. I used to pick up the two monthly land rover mags each month but I no longer bother, the journalists and contributors are just tooooo gushing about anything with a green oval even if its a crap £50 wrist watch made in China for 50pence, and they are overusing the word 'Adventure' - and overusing the awful sticker 'One life Live it'..... yeah, I enjoy owning my D2 but I could live an enjoyable, adventurous life without it, in fact when the mags constantly use the word 'adventure' I study the images and always think that I could cover and enjoy that terrain more efficiently on my bicycle without even getting my pampered, garage princess D2 dirty. It's getting silly.... but maybe it's me.

Anyhow, a rant off topic, sorry. Back to you and your exciting build up, I feel your excitement, quite right too... been there got the tshirt over the years - enjoy it ☺

the newest is may 2002 ;)

My D2 will see some fields and a horse trailer but thats it.

I want to keep her clean and rot free ;)

Please let me know how well you get on with removing that glue Gary. I tried on my last Rangie and it was not really ever coming off.

I bought myself those more 3-D shiny RANGE ROVER decals/badges/trim-things. I was going to put them on the last Rangie, but I could never get the glue off and the panel/bonnet looked like crap, so I just de-badged and left it at that. The glue was left behind as an ugly reminder of the cheap flat plastic lettering that had been there before. :(
