I bought a set of clear lenses headlights to replace the old units.
After reading about it being sh**part i wasn't optimistic when I realised the boxes they arrived in.
However, 9 months later and they are still in perfect condition.
I also bought a bunch of fuel filters from them when I started running veg oil as I was told they might start to go quickly as it cleared out junk in the system.
I was also pleased with these, good fit, no problems at all.
I think it may be a case of limit to non-moving parts and you'll be ok.

Fitted a set of Britpart front springs back in Feb.
Took the wagon for its MOT today and they have shrunk/compressed quite badly......enough so that with no weight you can pull the springs free.
22 quid each and lasted 11 months .....ordered genuine landrover ones 58 quid each.......get what you pay for!

I've used britpart wheel bearings, stubs, brakes, calipers, hoses, bushes, seals, lots of items... On lots of different Discos mostly. Some on some off road. They aren't bad atall in my opinion.
I used to fit "quality wheel bearings and seals" but they fooked after a few muddy holes anyway. Not failed. Bit full of mud and crap. So what's the point in spending 35/40 quid a corner every 3 outings when a britpart will do same job.
Having said that my new britpart bearing have lasted longer than any of the other bearings I've used. I think simply because I've changed the stubs and all other axel parts no problems yet...
I also think a lot can be said for the fitting of items. Out of everyone that knows how and does change wheel bearings. Who uses a press?
I don't think they're as bad as they're made out to be. Some stuff I wouldn't fit just because it's cheap. You do quite rightly get what you pay for. And fir off-road driving that must only apply to 40% of the stuff we change.

I gave in to temptation and bought a britpart coolant bleed off hose (the one that is like a y piece) back at the end of december last year, 2 months on the plastic section fell to pieces on the motorway and as a result has cost me a fortune, head gasket, cracked cylinder head etc. so can't see me using britpart ever again 
Britpart front prop on the Disco been fitted for about 2 years or more and had some hammer .. been drowned for a couple of days, and still as free but tight, as a prop should be. Awesome kit for about 60 quid I think.
Similarly the 200 prop I fitted only a few months ago, survived the dip and is still pukka.
Just received a bulkhead repair post from Britpart and it looks really, really good .. albeit it's a bit of pressed steel so hard to get wrong!
I quite like many Britpart bits, they're cheap and mostly do the job. I wouldn't buy stuff that is an 'assembly' like fuel pumps for instance, though even front shocks that went for a dip are fine .. I only changed them for larger and 'cos I had the wherewithal!
Similarly the 200 prop I fitted only a few months ago, survived the dip and is still pukka.

Just renewed the PAS pipes on me Disco wiv Britpart. Price for 3 BP pipes was less than the ex vat price of the most spensive LR pipe.
Been on a week. Ok so far but we'll see. I'm banking on the fact that they don't move will mean they might survive a little while longer.

needed parts in a hurry so it had to be ****part these have been fitted for 2 months
full exaust system bad fit and now rotten
had to call out RAC as had no rear lights the bulb holders were breaking up and throwing the bulbs out ( yes I should have had tools with me )
lenses for said lights fading
replaced steering joints twice
wipers lasted 2 weeks, now have bosh from halfords on
window seals leak....
ignition barell wasent all there
grille broke within 3 days after being caught by a very small branch
trailing and radious arm bushes were hard to fit....
the list goes on but I am getting bored now.....................

PAS poipes been on a month and still not leaked and the steering is still light and powered!!

lol some interesting opinions on this post... I do use britpart stuff but not for mechanical items such as uj's or water pumps etc... nuts bolts the odd bush and bits that don't really matter yeah of course cos its cheap! But you get what you pay for dont ya!
