bailey and morris will be only using gkn or similar ujs ,its unmarked or parts with no manufacturer name that you need to think about when ordering ,if your prop was marked gkn id think you was just unlucky
They certainly seem to have that hand-made/small company/good quality feel to them.

I did wonder if it was manufactured by GKN for Britpart - paid £160(inc delivery). I've decided I'm not going to accept it as a substitution.
Isn't 1 year a rather short live span for a UJ? The GKN's fitted by the previous owner on my 110 are 4 years old (approx 50,000 miles).
Update:
Just spoken to the seller, he assures me the Britpart unit is a GKN manufactured part (stamped as GKN) & he personally has used them for years without issue.
Reluctantly I've decided to fit it; but now wishing I'd bought a Bailey Morris prop shaft (same money).
That's the general rule. There is an old saying "moving parts...avoids Britparts"
